Hi craftykids,

I am in search of nice, hand-dyed SILK ribbon with finished edges to use as lacing for my wedding dress that I'm working on. I bought some online, only to realize that the bias-cut edges aren't finished! There's no way this will stand up to being dragged through the metal lacing rings and then cinched up tight - the edges fray! GAH!

I could easily find satin ribbon that would work, but I have my heart set on something more "organic". The dress is a shade darker than the absinthe in my user pic, and I'm looking for a gold or orange tones for the ribbon. Anyone know where I can find such a treat in town??

Thanks!
Anita

Have you tried the Button Emporium & Ribbonry on SW Taylor? I haven't been in, but it seems like a good place to find what you're looking for.

If they don't have it, I know I've seen silk ribbons in some of the local yarn shops, but I can't recall which ones off the top of my head - maybe call around?
